My client has an excellent new vacancy for a Payroll Administrator to join the team. This is a wonderful chance to work with one of the world leaders in drug development and gain valuable experience. This position offers a variety of different challenge s, meaning you can develop your cross functional skills, in new and exciting area's.

We are looking for a payroll professional who will be handling payroll related enquires from internal and external customers and aid administration of the day to day payroll process.

The role:

* Responsible for ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation as well as relevant company policies.
* Assessment of the current payroll processes and related documentation, helping to implement appropriate changes to achieve an efficient payroll environment.
* The individual will need to be organised and have the ability to assess and prioritise workloads to achieve an accurate and comprehensive payroll run within strict and sometimes pressured time scales.
* Collating and processing all payroll change correspondence from internal and external sources to agreed payroll timetables
* Accurate calculation of payroll entries, including pro-rata pay calculations, backpay adjustments, statutory leave requirements (SMP, SSP,SSP etc) and holiday pay
* Methodical checking of all monthly payroll changes processed to confirm accuracy of data and compliance with statutory legislation as well as adherence to company policies
* Production, review and distribution of payroll reports
* To maintain data integrity between payroll records and associated systems to include our HRIS system by running and reviewing automated interface files

Requirements:
* Sound knowledge of payroll legislation

* A self starter who is happy to work under little supervision

* Excellent IT skills, particularly Excel

* CIPP qualification an advantage
