Event Planning Assistant - international travel

I have a fantastic role for a global medical devices company who specialise in Ophthalmology. This is the perfect role if you are looking to get back into or expand into the medical sector.

The ideal candidate can have experience in marketing, project management, communication, event planning, customer service, clinical, medical.

This role does require travelling as you will accompany the Director to events in this field of interest.

Main tasks:

• Responsible for the management of the training operations, both internally- on-boarding and externally-customers.
• Supporting your Supervisor with planning, and execution of scientific events and other meetings within the department.
• Responsible for editing and circulating Medical/Clinical scientific information
• Administration support for the team and customers as needed, this will include travel, booking conference rooms, online calls booking, etc.
• Tracking of vacations, back-up, temps, main trips/events calendars, etc.

You are:

• Proficient in English (written and spoken), other spoken languages are a bonus (e.g. Spanish, German, French).
• Super organised, part of the role is planning and scheduling diaries.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel-basic reports and graphs, Publisher, etc) and with Goggle mail and Google Drive apps.
• Organised and display planning, monitoring and reporting skills.
• Able to travel abroad.

Professional Experience:

• 2 year's experience in a similar position.
• Experience in medical devices or life science industry and an international environment are a plus.
