Advancement at The University of Queensland (UQ) comprises four primary portfolios - Global and Institutional Philanthropy, Development, Alumni Relations and Engagement, and Advancement Services. The Global and Institutional Philanthropy team provides comprehensive oversight of established and emerging institutional and international markets. Building upon a strong base of foundation and corporate philanthropic support, this team also oversees priority, whole-of-UQ Advancement initiatives including entrepreneurship, student strategy programs, international fundraising market development, enhanced research partnership collaboration and UQ-related international foundation management.

The University of Queensland (UQ) established the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (ATSIS) Unit in 1984 as a commitment to the learning, discovery and engagement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The ATSIS Unit works closely with Advancement and the wider UQ community to enhance the experience of UQ's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

About This Opportunity

Through the lens of Indigenous Australian post-colonial experiences, the successful candidate will spearhead strategic fundraising in this space. Working with both individuals and corporations, you'll nurture relationships and secure principal gifts.

Our Ideal Candidate

Candidates should have a strong level of experience in fundraising and development. You'll demonstrate exceptional skills in negotiation, organisation and verbal and non-verbal communication, plus high-quality customer service and stakeholder engagement.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position at HEW level 9.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $113,095 - $119,678, plus super of up to 17% and recreation leave loading of 17.5%.
