KA/214980/2 - Key Account Manager - Micro-Mechanics / Medical Technology - Switzerland

A contract manufacturing organisation who specialise in supplying to the medical device and dental sectors are currently searching for a Key Account Manager to acquire and negotiate high level contracts with manufacturers both locally in Switzerland and on an international scale. This position will be based close to Biel, Switzerland and requires a motivated sales person with a technical/mechanical background and previous experience within medical device or dental sales.

Joining this company as a Key Account Manager will see you entering into an environment where the staff genuinely enjoy coming to work given the collaborative nature of the sales team, as well as the stable working environment given the company have been operating in the Swiss market for over 80 years. Working closely with manufacturers in the medical device / medical technology will enable you to develop your skills within contract negotiation and business development, aided by the fact the market has already been developed to some extent and therefore there are already clients who will welcome your introduction and services. Your main area of focus will be the German and the USA markets, allowing for you to experience an international element to your role and build close relationships with medical device manufacturers.

As a Key Account Manager, you will be expected to bring the following skills:

  • A technical background as a mechanic or engineer
  • Previous medical device sales experience, ideally working with medical technology
  • B2B sales experience or previous experience working for a contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) would be beneficial but not essential
  • Fluency in German and English. French is beneficial but not essential
  • This position will be office based close to Biel, Switzerland so candidates must be local or have the ability to relocate to the region.
