Job Details

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the CELFS International Foundation Programme (IFP) team at a very exciting time of growth and transformation which aims to further develop the University of Bristol IFP as a world-class provision that attracts diverse, high quality students and provides them with an excellent educational experience. As a Maths Subject Lead, you will be part of developing the new CELFS provision of Maths units on the IFP. You will be expected to design and deliver materials and assessment tasks in line with Intended Learning Outcomes to ensure that they enable students to succeed not only on the IFP, but also on their chosen undergraduate programme. Progression programmes include both STEM and Social Science degrees, so experience of teaching GCSE and across the Level 3 Maths curriculum is essential, along with the ability to clearly communicate concepts to international students.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed professional who can work as part of a rapidly growing, dynamic teaching team. As a Centre, we adhere to the principles of collaboration, development, reflexivity, autonomy, transparency and transferability at all levels of our operation. If you feel that these principles are a good fit for your own, then we look forward to receiving an application from you detailing how you can contribute to the Centre's success. CELFS is located within the Faculty of Arts and works with students of all backgrounds at all levels across a growing range of disciplines.

Please have a good look at our website to get a feel for what we do and how we do it. Please note that all CVs and cover letters go through the university HR website as part of the application process. http://www.bristol.ac.uk/jobs/ This is where you will also find a complete role description which should be addressed in your cover letter. For any further information, please contact Elizabeth Allen at elizabeth.allen@bristol.ac.uk .

We appreciate and value difference, seeking to attract, develop and retain a diverse mix of talented people that will contribute to the overall success of Bristol and help maintain our position as one of the world's leading universities.
