Indirect Purchaser - Amsterdam

My client, a global chemical company that holds a strong presence in the industry, covering multiple markets, such as automotive & technical is currently looking for a motivated and young professional to join them for a new position in the purchasing team. With over 10000 employees based across 80 locations, my client is now looking for a strong team member to expand the organisation.

You will be responsible for the strategic development and process improvement working with a number of clients and customers, allowing you to interact with various types of people and industries. This position is great for a young professional who wants to have the chance to be trained and developed by a passionate manager and be exposed to career development and growth.

Responsibilities include:

• Build and develop the indirect purchasing department
• Build network and bring in new suppliers, customers & clients
• Strategic Procurement - project work
• Process Improvement

To be successful candidate must have:

• Few years purchasing experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Background in indirect purchasing
• Fluent in English & Dutch
• Motivated and willing to learn
