Research Fellow - Molecular and Cellular biosciences

Location: Highfield Campus

We are looking for a Research Fellow with a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in cell biology/biochemistry and a detailed understanding and knowledge of cell culture, Polymerase chain reaction (PCR), Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorting (FACS), western blotting. A knowledge of respiratory cell biology, of lung fibrosis, and experience of 3D models and proteomics would be desirable and you would also be expected to contribute to teaching at a postgraduate level.

You will be working within Biological Sciences, Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences, based at Highfield Campus under the supervision of Dr Yihua Wang.

This post is fixed term for three years and is available immediately.

*Applications will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification. The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon completion of PhD. Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given
