Segment Buyer CAPEX Netherlands - Chemical major actor
For one of my clients, one of the major players worldwide within the chemical industry within paints and coatings, I am currently recruiting an ambitious Segment Buyer to deliver competitive sourcing for manufacturing related spend across the Netherlands and Belgium areas. The portfolio covers services and equipment for both operations and investment.
You will be based in the Netherlands, and will report to the Northern Region Leader for Manufacturing, Equipment and Technical services, you will also have frequent interaction with other segment buyers within the EMEA area.
Here are the key missions that you will have to carry out :
- Delivering savings across the Netherlands and Belgium
- Reduce the number of suppliers in the specified regions related to manufacturing through change management and collaboration with local stakeholders.
- Actively participating in the energy sourcing strategy for the territory, executing the market tenders and lead initiatives
- Driving supplier performance
- Active stakeholder management, which includes presence at the different sites on a continuous basis and developing a regular communication channel with management of each site.
- Define and lead a specific savings project across EMEA.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- You have a previous experience in purchasing within a major manufacturing company and you have a strong understanding of the Dutch / Belgian equipment as well as the contractor market.
- Ideally, you have a degree that you have achieved within a Business discipline.
- You speak fluently both Dutch and English
- You have a strong experience in tackling both CAPEX and OPEX spends.
- Know-how of establishing contracts, monitoring performance and resolving issues.
- You have a proven strong business acumen to manage commercial relationships and negotiations.
- You must be willing to travel approximate 25% of the time, sometimes within different countries in Europe.
