UQ Finance is responsible for enabling achievement of the University's strategic ambitions by securing UQ's financial future through expert advice, systems and support. The key specialist service areas of Finance are:

• Corporate Finance
• Financial Planning and Analysis
• Financial Operations including Accounts Payable, Collections and Receivables, and Client Support Services
• Professional Services teams - Advisory and Transactional Services

Finance at UQ operates within a devolved environment with Finance staff located in Professional Services teams in Faculties, Research Institutes and Central Divisions supported by Finance specialist service teams.

About These Opportunities

Our Finance Officers accurately identify, allocate and resolving bank and payment transactions in a fast paced, high volume processing role. This includes timely payment query and dispute resolution with internal and external stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive fast learner and critical thinker to develop their finance career within one of Australia's leading research and teaching institutions!

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have a diploma qualification in accounting, business, commerce or a related field. You will have previous experience in payment identification, transaction investigation, journals and customer management, ideally within the University or Banking sector. You will be an excellent communicator and critical thinker that can investigate unusual or difficult transactions while building positive relationships. The ability to apply knowledge of finance systems, policies and processes to a wide range of financial transactions within agreed time frames and to agreed service standards is essential. You will have excellent time management skills and the ability to work autonomously.

What We Can Offer

There are various full time opportunities available including a continuing appointment and multiple fixed-term appointments up to 12 months at HEW Level 4.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $62,342 - $66,291 p.a., plus superannuation and recreation leave loading of 17.5%.
