Continuing on the success of the NIHR-Clinical Lectureship scheme we invite applications for two Clinical Lecturer posts in Academic Anaesthesia at the University of Bristol and Severn Postgraduate HEE partnership. One post is NIHR funded and the other locally funded but will be NIHR badged and the posts will be equivalent in all respects.
The Clinical Lectureships are designed to provide postdoctoral support for Anaesthetists-in-training who will have completed a higher degree (PhD) prior to starting the post. It provides salary support to allow the clinicians to set aside 50% of their time to develop their academic portfolio with the remaining 50% for clinical training.
The Lectureship is available for a maximum of four years and should enable the continued acquisition of clinical competencies to achieve CCT, as well as obtaining support for a research portfolio and will provide experience in teaching. A broad range of research interests can be fostered within the School of Physiology, Pharmacology & Neuroscience. We are particularly interested in applications from candidates who can enhance our existing strengths in Pain Neuroscience and Cardiovascular research.
For informal enquiries please contact Professor Tony Pickering, +44 (0)117 3312311, Tony.Pickering@Bristol.ac.uk .
