Our client is a leading automotive supplier of transmission systems for electric vehicles and hybrids. For their facility in Belgium, they are looking for a Sales Engineer.

The company specialises with innovative products on the market. They are working directly with the car manufacturers, especially those of hybrid and electric vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a product that is shaping the future of the industry. You will become an expert in the field and will have sustainable opportunities for the coming years in this market.

In this position you will be in contact directly with the OEMs and will be also in constant contact with the internal R&D department. It's an excellent chance to still be quite familiar on the technical side and know the specifics about the product while also enhancing your commercial and representation skills and develop a solid network on the market which will help you in the future.

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for aligning Sales and R&D during the pre-sales phase with a goal to deliver a clearly defined project package at the end of aforementioned stage
  • Be responsible for the follow up of projects that are in mass production
  • Represent the customer accounts within the organization, make sure customer needs and expectations are met.
  • Coordinate internal resources (R&D, production, quality, AS&S, top management involvement) to ensure key accounts' are well taken care of.
  • Conduct frequent visits to customers
  • Be representing the organization during international fairs and events.
  • Be able to work effectively within a team.

Your profile:

  • Engineering Degree
  • Experience in a similar function within the automotive industry
  • Fluent English, Dutch and other languages are a massive plus
