Junior Toxicologist - develop on the regulatory side

Part of an established team of toxicologists, you will have the chance to learn and develop from others. This is a fantastic experience to be developed into a strong regulatory toxicologist and with a company willing to take on an ambitious individual with limited experience.

Key responsibilities will include

As a Toxicologist you will conduct hazard and risk assessments and monitoring studies required for regulatory notification schemes such as REACH, China New Chemical Substances regulation etc.

An attractive part of the vacancy is to be able to liaise with team members globally who operate at a high scientific level allowing you the chance to learn from others and develop.

Utilise your expert you will provide toxicology advise to senior commercial and R&D members. This is to help in the development and marketing of new and commercially viable products. As a regulatory toxicologist you will summarise toxicology studies for dossier preparation.

Representing the company at agency and trade association meetings will also play a part of responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

Educated to degree level within chemical or biological science. Good knowledge of organic chemistry.

A strong ability to communicate technical and complex issues to external and internal stakeholders. An ability to operate in an advocacy role.

It will be a bonus to have any working knowledge and experience of regional & global chemical regulations (e.g. REACH, China, TSCA). However, our client will look to develop a toxicologist into a regulatory toxicology function.
