EHS Engineer

I am presently representing a client of mine who is looking for an EHS Engineer /Ingenieur Arbeitssicherheit/ Umweltschutz (HSE) for Munich Region. The company develops and produces pharmaceutical active ingredients. They are a globally acting sales organization, also experienced in some special technologies like electrochemistry, cryogenic reactions and handling of controlled substances. Your profile:

* Successfully completed a diploma in environmental technology, process engineering, or previously worked in chemical environments/industrial/pharmaceuticals/wastewater treatment plants
* Minimum 3 years experience in EHS
* Qualified as Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit
* Fluent in German and English
* Risk assessment experience ( e.g HAZOPS )

Your tasks:
* Implementation and compliance with statutory (legal) and company/corporate EHS requirement
* Maintain awareness of current and future EHS developments and legal requirements and
* Execute on operating permit condition expectations
* Ensure transport, storage use and disposal of all materials is in accordance with statutory requirements
* Carry out regular EHS (self)mini-audits in all areas and ensure any corrective actions recommended are implemented
* Keep companys EHS policies and procedures updated (including input to operations S&OPs)
* Carry out site risk assessment and assist in implementing appropriate control measures for the identified risks
* Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions and track progress
* Consolidate and report sites data analysis of accidents, near misses, observations and communicate action plan to employees at all levels
