Occupational health and safety adviser
Your role
As an occupational health and safety adviser you work independently with clients, or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Within projects you are (jointly) responsible for conducting various investigations, focusing on health and safety at work. You perform this for our industrial customers (especially large companies and multinationals).
Your duties include:
Conducting risk inventories and evaluations (RI&E) in the area of, for example, physical loads, machines and hazardous substances.
Conducting risk assessments concerning working with hazardous substances (whether or not assisted by quantitative assessment programs such as Stoffenmanager and ChemRADE).
Provide information on occupational hygiene and advice on control measures in accordance with occupational hygiene strategy, so that companies comply with legal requirements.
Performing exposure measurements for hazardous substances (including reporting).
BRZO companies help with various questions about (occupational health and safety) safety.
Preparation of ATEX reports.
Depending on your experience / competencies, you can (in time) act as a project manager for larger projects. Your location (Amsterdam, Assen, Deventer, Eindhoven, Utrecht or Rotterdam) will be determined in good consultation. Our industrial customers are mainly in the Randstad, Eemshaven, Deventer area and Eindhoven area. Within Tauw you act as a 'linking pin'; a coach for juniors and a sparring partner for project leaders / project managers.
Your profile
In order to properly perform this function, we require a completed HBO or WO course in a technical direction and a minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the field of occupational safety at BRZO companies. You also recognize yourself in the following characteristics:
Enthusiastic, cheerful personality
Informed about current laws and regulations
Team player who can also work independently
In addition, it is an advantage if you:
Are certified as a work hygienist
Have experience within a consultancy environment
Have experience with incidents and management systems.
