(Level B) $97,577 to $115,495 per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply

Continuing full-time position available from 3 February 2020

Coordinating and teaching a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervising Honours and postgraduate students and contributing to the research profile of the department

The School of Humanities seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Creative Writing specialising in fiction in the Department of English and Creative Writing.

The Department offers two majors, one in English and one in Creative Writing and is an energetic, collegial unit that attracts a strong student cohort at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

All staff are required to understand and comply with all University policies, procedures and reasonable direction, whilst demonstrating professional workplace behaviours in accordance with the University's Code of Conduct.

To be successful you will need:
  • PhD in Creative Writing - Fiction.
  • Demonstrated excellence in the publication of fiction and/or volumes of short fiction and/or creative non-fiction.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as an undergraduate teacher of creative writing, including genre writing.
