Centre for Innovation in Medication Education (CIME) is envisioned to be a state-of-the-art centre for innovation, invention and research for newer pedagogy, techniques and procedures. It is an important resource for the Country and the region as it will encourage international organizations interested in education and research to bring in the newest knowledge and cutting edge technology.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Teaching Associate in the Centre for Innovation in Medical Education.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, CIME, you will be expected to assist in the generation, organization and implementation of courses, programmes, workshops and simulation activities within CIME. You will be responsible to:
  • contribute to the documentation of CIME workshops and courses in contribution to a repository of such items
  • contribute to audit of CIME facilities; market research in simulation education and evaluation of CIME courses
  • use a standardized process, and work with Faculty and the Director, CIME, design and develop courses, workshops and programmes of learning for use in CIME
  • contribute to the preparation, practice and methods of providing feedback in relation to simulation activities and clinical skills acquisition
  • assist in the day-to-day administration and operation of the Centre's activities in teaching and learning, research and community engagement
  • assist in research activities such as literature searching, data collection
  • assist in the organisation and delivery of events and workshops off-campus.


Requirements
You should have:
  • an MBBS degree, BScN or BScM: fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • sound academic record and interest in teaching and learning
  • ability to lead and facilitate learning as part of a workshop team
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent organizational, information management and computer skills.
