The Architecture and Development team (A&D) is responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) bespoke admissions software, South Australian and Northern Territory Admissions System (SANTAS). All members of the A&D team actively contribute to the development of new software functions as well as assist the Service Delivery team to provide support as required.

Working under limited direction, the Senior Developer will work closely with the Team Leader (A&D), to ensure that solutions maximise benefits for SATAC stakeholders. This position will be responsible for setting application roadmaps within SATAC and your experience will bring a new perspective to the designing, supporting, developing and implementing of IT systems.

To be successful you will need:
  • The ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with a team of skilled specialists.
  • Experience contributing to projects and delivering on stated expectations and milestones.
  • Prior experience in developing and maintaining a line of business bespoke software solutions.
  • Proven experience in the use of problem-solving skills to investigate and rectify software issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in a range of systems, programs and applications.

SATAC's broader role

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre limited (SATAC) provides reliable, efficient and innovative tertiary admissions services to its member institutions and on a fee for service basis to other tertiary education institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

SATAC manages centralised application and admissions processes on behalf of its members and clients, as well as administering admissions aptitude tests, providing publication and research services, and acting as a one-stop shop for queries regarding application processes and outcomes.
