The role

The successful applicant will undertake a PhD project under the supervision of Dr. Liguang Wang at UQ's School of Chemical Engineering, undertaking cutting edge research in particle separation, flotation, and complex fluids. The project will involve both laboratory experiments and modelling work.

The person

The applicant will have a Masters degree or Bachelor degree with 1st Class Honours (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Mineral Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent, with skills and experience in mineral processing, coal cleaning, interfacial chemistry, or separation processes.

A domestic part-time student with carer's responsibilities, a medical condition or a disability, which prevents them from studying full time may be eligible for scholarship consideration, on a case by case basis.

Remuneration

$27,596 per year (2019 rate), tax-free and indexed annually, for three years with the possibility of two 6-month extensions in approved circumstances.
