Geo-Environmental Engineer

An up and coming multi-disciplinary consultancy who are massively growing whilst retaining a small consultancy working environment where everyone knows each other and works together closely is currently looking for a geo-environmental Engineer to join their team in Leeds. This consultancy rub shoulders with some of the largest consultancies in the industry on projects so the successful candidate will get to opportunity to work on a variety of large and interesting projects.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor degree in relevant subject and preferably a secondary qualification ie MSc;
• A Full UK Driving Licence;
• Experience in ground investigation design, supervision and management;
• Excellent understanding of geology and field descriptions of soil and rock in accordance with BS:5930 (2015) and EC7;
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels within the business, with clients, subcontractors and other third parties (regulators, statutory consultees, etc)
• Track record in the production of factual and interpretative reports, including Desk Studies / PRAs (Phase 1) and Ground Investigation reports (Phase 2);
• Be able to schedule laboratory testing and interpret the results;
• Have experience in factual and interpretative report writing;
• Be able to produce detailed ground models and cross-sections;
• Be competent using Holebase SI, gINT or similar.
