Job Details
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Translational Research Facilitator to join us in making a difference to people's lives by helping us to identify and support translational opportunities from our portfolio of Health and Life Sciences research.
Through our Institutional Translation Partnership with the Wellcome Trust we are exploring new ways to facilitate the move from discovery to translational research, providing dedicated, in-depth guidance to academics and developing personal action plans.
You will work with world leading academics to identify the unique opportunities for translation and partnering presented by their research and to develop relationships with industry to deliver those. You will also provide dedicated, in-depth guidance, contributing to applications for funding and project-manage promising early stage translational projects.
The successful candidate will have a track record of translating health and life science research, a good understanding of academia and direct experience of working with or in industry.
If you're passionate about realising health and societal benefits from the cutting-edge research being undertaken by world leading scientists in one of UK's most vibrant cities, then we'd be interested in hearing from you.
This is a part time vacancy working 21 hours per week on a fixed term contract until 1st January 2021 with a possibility of an extension.
For any informal enquiries please contact Lisa Kehoe - lisa.kehoe@bristol.ac.uk
The closing date for applications is 11.59pm on Sunday 21st July 2019.
We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
