The Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Fellow Medical Officer, Gastrointestinal Surgery.

Responsibilities

He/she would be expected to:
  • to provide assistance clinics and recruit patients with general surgical problems and to follow these patients appropriately during the inpatient care under the concerned admitting/attending consultant
  • he/she would be on call with a full time faculty and would report to his/her faculty in matters arising on the calls days
  • provide assistance in OR/SDC session with supervising faculty
  • he/she would also be engaged in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching as assigned.

Requirements

You should have:
  • MBBS from an institution recognised by the PM&DC
  • A year of house job/internship, with six months each in medicine and allied disciplines and surgery and allied disciplines
  • FCPS Part II or equivalent in General Surgery
  • minimum of five years of training in General Surgery in an accredited and reputable programme.
