The postholder will provide the research administrative support for the Centre of Precision Rehabilitation for Spinal Pain; based in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham. The Centre is under the direction of Professor Deborah Falla and Dr Alison Rushton.

This busy and challenging role will include research administration for the Centre of Precision Rehabilitation for Spinal Pain and the wider research group's activities. including Prof Falla and Dr Rushton, explained below. This will include liaising with research partners both in universities and companies, ensuring efficient organisation and marketing of training events run through the Centre, as well as financial administration, diary management, travel planning, providing assistance with the preparation of reports, and assistance with the preparation of funding applications.

The postholder will need to be able to adapt quickly and professionally to the needs of the day, and to be able to cope well and harmoniously with conflicting demands. In delivering this role efficiently and effectively, the postholder will be expected to exercise judgement and to use initiative in being proactive. This will require a strong ability to organise, influence and cater well for a wide variety of work including much that is confidential in nature. The postholder will need to have the personal confidence to interact appropriately with a wide range of people both internal and external to the University and across all levels in ways which support a very positive impression of the Centre of Precision Rehabilitation for Spinal Pain.

Fixed term contact for up to 12 months
