Experienced Chemist - Hamburg

For one of our clients, leading provider for high quality hydrocarbon specialties in Hamburg we are currently looking for an experienced Chemist .

As one of the oldest chemical companies in the world their products play very important role in the automotive, pharmaceutical and oil and gas industry in more than 90 Countries worldwide.

You main responsibilities will include:

• Development and revision of formulations for fuels
• Release and blocking of products and raw materials
• Definition and evaluation of analytical measurements and projects
• Development of solutions for customer inquiries
• Competent contact person for all interfaces of the department such as QC, production, Sales, Purchasing, SCM
• Scientific evaluation of fuel topics
• Participation in national standardisation committees and scientific working groups

Experience required:

• Completed Ph.D. in Chemistry or Master / Diploma Degree with several years of work experience
• Good knowledge of Kohlenwasserstoffchemie ( hydrocarbon chemistry )
• Several years of experience in the chemical or (Mineralöle) mineral oil industry, preferably at Formulation of hydrocarbons
• Good knowledge of petrol, diesel, biofuels and raw materials as well as petrol range of formulations and interactions of fuels
• Good methodological knowledge in chemical analysis, focus on mineral oil analysis
• PC user knowledge - SAP R3, MS Office and very good command of English
• Willingness to occasional business trips
