The Department of Medicine at The Aga Khan University Hospital, comprises of independent sections of Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonary & Critical Care. The department has over 70+ full-time Faculty with a strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate education and research. Residency Programmes are offered in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Adult Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Pulmonary Medicine, Nephrology and Dermatology, as well as Fellowship Programmes in Clinical Neurophysiology & Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism, Interventional Cardiology and Infectious Diseases.

From the clinical service aspect, Neurologist works under the Service Line of Mind & Brain (Neurosciences), The Mind and Brain Service Line at the Aga Khan University Hospital is home to the largest number of certified neurologists (specialized in brain and spine medicine), neurosurgeons (specialized in brain and spine surgery), psychiatrists and psychologists (specialized in mental health problems) in Pakistan. The Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor, Neurology, Department of Medicine.

Responsibilities

You will have an independent consultant status for patient care and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities including strategic leadership and clinical advancement of the neurophysiology department.

Requirements

You must have completed a structured postgraduate training program and possess FCPS, MRCP, American Boards or equivalent qualification. Fellowship in Neurophysiology will be an advantage. Applicants for Associate Professor should have at least 8 years of teaching / research experience in a HEC recognized University or postgraduate institution, with 5 years' post-terminal experience of teaching and a minimum of 10 research publications in journals recognized jointly by HEC and PMDC with at least 4 of these publications in the last 5 years. Applicants for Assistant Professor should have at least 2 years' experience as Senior Instructor or equivalent.
