I am currently working with a new client in the Munich area, who is looking for an experienced strategic purchaser to join their growing team. This is a brand new position within the business due to the continuous growth of the company. This position is part of the specialist team who will be working closely with the Head of Procurement to develop the department. As a leading Automotive organisation, my client offers a challenging environment with the chance to develop the department both national and international level. These responsibilities and project can open many doors within the automotive sector and the chance to be exposed to new experiences and learn new skills.

You will mainly be responsible for the plastic category, however this is not limited and you will also be involved in other business sectors that they operate in.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and managing the procurement department
• Strategic development and supplier management
• Sourcing for new suppliers
• Process Improvement

To be successful candidate must have:

• 3+ years Strategic Purchasing experience
• Experience purchasing Steel and/or Copper
• Background working in the Automotive sector
• Fluent in English & German
