About the role

At Arden University, you will be working with a dynamic team of academic lecturers and support staff.

We are looking for academics with a range teaching experiences (face to face and online).

The Foundation Year is designed to enable students who may not have previous higher education experience to reach their potential. Arden University's Foundation Year programme supports learners to understand university terminology, the various types of assessment, and other study skills.

Our foundation year enables students to experience university-style teaching and to also have a taster of the subjects they are interested in. It gives students a richer understanding of their subject areas which makes it easier for them to progress onto undergraduate study.

There are a wide range of degree programmes available to students who complete the foundation year level.

Essential Criteria

• Proven ability to deliver student-centred teaching
• Experience of teaching and assessing within the UK HE sector
• Have a teaching qualification or be prepared to work towards one

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of teaching within an online or blended learning context
• Familiarity with Virtual Learning Environments and other technologies to support learning
• Experience of working within schemes which promote access to education and employment
• Ability to attend occasional staff training events
