The Client:

My client are one of the Top 10 Environmental consultancies in the UK. They are now looking to hire a Technical Reporting Manager to be the go-to for all interpretive reporting. You will be working on a diverse range of complex projects across Nuclear, Infrastructure, Civil Infrastructure, Residential, Commercial and Industrial.

The Role:

A Ground Investigation Technical Manager is required to support the company's Technical Director in managing the technical output of the company nationally, and to provide and co-ordinate provision of technical training to staff at all levels and in all parts of the company.

Reports: The engineering teams produce a range of technical reports including geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental factual or interpretive ground investigation reports, geotechnical GIR and GDR reports, desk studies, preliminary risk assessments and coal mining risk assessments.

The Technical Manager will be responsible for;

• Acting as Technical and/or Quality reviewer for a proportion of the company's reports
• Authoring the interpretive elements of some reports within their area of specialism (geotechnical and/or geoenvironmental)
• Providing technical support to the tenderers and operational staff, for example helping develop suitable scopes of work or interpreting client requirements
• Be the go-to person for their discipline area (Geo-Environmental and/or Geotechnical)
• Ensure that Engineers have the necessary tools, skills, and training
• Keeping up with industry developments and changes
• Ensuring that a similar standard / format for reporting is in place across all offices.
