Manage a Stable Leaving Care Team

A London based Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Work manager to provide leadership to their Leaving Care team which works with service users above the age of 18

  • Team work with service users above the age of 18 to help access housing, benefits, education, employment and/or universal credit
  • The team is a part of the wider Corporate Parenting service
  • The Local Authority uses Systemic Practice and the Hackney model which they have developed further and integrated other professional into the team to provide a more holistic service.

  • Will be working with an experienced and established manager

    • This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to take on the management of an established and stable team who specifically work with service users above the age of 18. You will be a part of the larger Corporate Parenting service and will have the support of the Practice Support Groups which work as a unit to approach cases where information is shared between a range of professional and disciplines to provide a more holistic package of care.

    The team work with care leavers to help them access housing, further education, employment and or universal credit where appropriate. As a manager of the team you will be managing Leaving Care Coaches / Personal Advisers who are established members of the team, you will also be responsible for case oversight and the development of the team

    To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience working within a Leaving Care service and management experience.
