Job Details

Vibrant, innovative, international: discover the ideal home for your ambition. De Montfort University (DMU) is a unique institution: ambitious, globally-minded and determined to give students a sector-leading experience. Our Gold award in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) is testament to our consistently outstanding teaching and learning excellence. You'll join us in a vibrant and multi-cultural environment as you take on the strategic leadership of our Faculty of Computing, Engineering & Media (CEM). It's an outstanding opportunity to build your existing leadership skills and deputise for the PVC/Dean, as you take the Faculty further with your inspiring vision.

We are proud of our achievements in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media and look to make a further senior appointment to support the PVC/Dean in our journey.

Faculty / Directorate

The Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media is home to three specialist schools: the School of Computer Science and Informatics, the School of Engineering and Sustainable Development, and the Leicester Media School. While each School has a distinct identity, together they present a unique, compelling and important critical understanding on the future role of technology in modern life.

Courses are taught in professional facilities equipped with cutting-edge technology. We aim to deliver a global curriculum that enhances the international perspective and cultural awareness of our graduates, while supporting employability and sustainability. A key initiative currently is the embedding of sustainability (and other UN Sustainable Development Goals) into our curriculum.

The Faculty's ambitious research and enterprise plans involve working closely with local, national and international partners, including those in industry. And as within the wider University, there's a skilled and engaged academic and professional workforce.
