Responsibilities

Reporting to Manager, you will play a key role in liaising activities between departments and PGME Office, to ensure day-to-day operational issues are resolved effectively and decision are made in line with the set policies to enhance the quality of educational programs.

The following major activities that must be achieved in order that the job purpose is fulfilled.
  • Manage One45 system for postgraduate programs
  • to facilitate the management in introducing new postgraduate training programs of international standards.
  • coordinate accreditation process of PGME programs with College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP)
  • assist the management in providing expertise to FMIC (Afghanistan) to introduce PGME programs of international standards
  • to take lead role in JCIA Audit on measurable elements and Standards of Medical Professional Education related to postgraduate training
  • facilitate the management to sustain and improve the quality of PGME programs by getting the programs and processes assessed and evaluated internally and externally against international standards
  • monitor and appreciate the impact of AKU PGME programs by maintaining relationship with PGME alumni
  • coordinate and facilitate elective rotations for internal and external candidates
  • take lead role in organizing PGME Conference and related activities
  • work as team member to ensure smooth conduct and functioning of other events within the department.

Requirements

You should have:
  • a Master's degree in Business Administration, preferably with some relevant additional certification
  • at least three years of related experience preferably in a reputable healthcare organization
  • expertise in various data management systems
  • excellent interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • ability to effectively work independently as well with diverse teams
  • proficiency in the use of computers, particularly the MS Office package
  • resilience and ability to cope-up with work pressure and meet stringent deadlines
