Job Summary

To create and contribute to the creation of knowledge by undertaking original research. We are looking for a senior postdoctoral researcher to join a CRUK-funded programme on investigating the relationship between de-regulated transcription machinery and replication stress in cancer (Kotsantis et al., Nature Communications 2016; Bowry et al, Cell Reports 2018).

This project in particular will investigate how increased transcription contributes to oncogene-induced replication stress (Kotsantis et al., Nature Communications 2016). The successful candidate will join a vibrant research group in the area of genome stability at the Institute of Cancer and Genomic Sciences.

You will use a range of complementary approaches including nuclear imaging and proteomics, ChIP-seq and RNA-seq to investigate the interplay between transcription and DNA replication in mammalian cells.

Prior experience in ChIP-seq and/or RNA-seq required.
