Applications are invited for an Architecture lecturing post at the University of Central Lancashire, which will focus on the teaching of Professional Practice and Industry Engagement activities.

The is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative person to be involved with the development of Architectural Technology and Architecture programmes at a University with an international reputation for excellence, innovation and enterprise. The successful applicant will develop and deliver academic programmes as well as pursuing research.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified academic or practitioner with demonstrable academic interest to further advance our excellent reputation through teaching, research and knowledge transfer. Candidates must have teaching experience at an appropriate level in architecture or architectural technology, relevant professional experience, evidence of esteem indicators in relation to teaching or professional practice and evidence of relevant professional/industrial caseload work or evidence of current research output.

We are seeking persons to take on teaching in architecture, specifically in Professional Practice, and to provide associated administrative support for the programmes. Candidates must have the ability to conceive, lead and deliver a creative and rigorous professional studies module, and the ability to provide tutorial and pastoral advice to students. Additionally, applicants must have good verbal communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

We anticipate that applicants would be architects with specific interests in practice and industry engagement. Membership of relevant professional institutions (RIBA, ARB or CIAT) is desirable.
