Independent Reviewing Officer - Developing Children Looked After Service

A Local Authority near the Wiltshire area is currently looking to employ a Independent Reviewing Officer/CP Chair to ensure that the statutory functions required within Child Protection Conferences and Child Looked After Reviews. This improving local authority believes that by investing in new ways of thinking and working, you'll have everything you need to do the job you trained for. In turn, that means they're able to deliver the best possible support for children and young people.

Additionally they are also offering a £125 per week accommodation allowance for the right candidates, meaning you'll be able to stay away from home without adding an extra cost to yourself as was once prior to IR35.

You will be offered a rolling contract, as they are keen to extend those that are contributing members of the team for as long as needed. With competitive pay rates that go up to £41ph while being situated in an authority that consistently receives positive feedback from our current contractors, the package on offer is one not to be missed.

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of child maltreatment and its effect on children
• Experience of supervision and management of social workers working with looked after children
• Experience working with Looked after Children
• Ability to challenge and manage conflict and disagreements
• HCPC Registration
