Social Worker - Family Placement (Fostering)

£33,667 - £43,878 + £2,000 yearly retention

NonStop Care is working with a Local Authority in the Berkshire area in order to recruit for a Social Worker for their Family Placement Service. The council is one of the best in the area - they have a Good Ofsted rating with Outstanding features. This means you will be joining a very nice, supportive environment.

In this role, you will:

• Assess prospective foster carers using BAAF Form F
• Complete initial visits to prospective foster carers enquiries
• Assess connected person foster carers using BAAF Form C
• Complete viability assessment visits with the child's social worker of prospective connected person foster carers
• Supervise 4 weekly and support foster carers and connected person foster carers, including attending meetings with them such as CLA reviews.
• Facilitate training for foster carers
• Participate in a duty system to support foster carers and look for potential vacancies. All external placements are now made by our commissioning team.
• Family finding is also completed by their team for long term placements.

Please apply if you are a Social Worker or a Supervising Social Worker with experience in Fostering / Family Placements / Connected Carers or SGO. You must drive as well and have a Social Work Degree and a HCPC registration.
