Duties

• Academic programme development;
• Teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate level in Political Science and related modules;
• Postgraduate supervision in fields related to Political Science;
• Publishing research results in accredited journals and presenting results at conferences;
• Active participation in all departmental activities and research projects;
• Academic interaction with the community.

Requirements

• MA degree in Political Science/International Studies, registered and working towards a PhD in Political Science;
• Experience in teaching on undergraduate and postgraduate levels, specifically Conflict and Security studies;
• Experience in supervision on postgraduate level, specifically supervision on MA level in Conflict and Security Studies;
• A growing publication record in peer reviewed accredited journals;
• Proven planning and administrative skills;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• The ability to accommodate multiculturalism.

Desirable

• A PhD in Political Science;
• Knowledge of current developments in the field of Political Science and International Studies;
• The ability to work under pressure.
