Manage the Local Authorities Assessment Service

A Local Authority based in London is seeking an experienced Social Work Manager to join help lead their assessment services

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager who has a track record of improving services. This post offers autonomy to the post holder so that they are able to use their creativity to implement processes that can improve practice. More recently the Local Authority have developed the SW Academy to provide more support to its Social Workers in order to drive good practice. This is something the director is keen to continue with and therefore is looking for candidates who are able to instil good practice.

As the Service Manager you will be responsible for 4 Assessment teams, MASH, Out of Hours and the Hospital team. You will be supported by a stable Senior Management team all of who have been in post for a number of years, furthermore you will be managing Team Managers who are also able to work autonomously and have been in post for some time, meaning they are all familiar with the operational management of their own teams so that you can focus on the strategical level and identify areas to impriove

To be considered for this post you should have extensive experience at Senior Management level.
