The School has high quality facilities at the UQ Gatton Campus, providing the teaching, research and clinical infrastructure and resources to develop its strong reputation as a leading provider of veterinary training, research and clinical care. The school also maintains a small animal hospital and large animal clinic at Dayboro, north-west of Brisbane.

About This Opportunity

The position will participate in the management of clinical cases presented to the primary accession service, including health and wellness exams, vaccinations and other disease prevention measures, primary opinion emergency consultations during normal business hours, and elective surgical procedures primary emergency consultation, diagnostic work ups, surgical procedures and treatments at UQVETS Dayboro. In addition to ensuring excellence in clinical care, the incumbent will actively participate in the clinical teaching and instruction of undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary science and veterinary technology students as well as clinical training of interns.

Applicants should possess a BVSc (or equivalent) that is registrable in Queensland, together with experience in the delivery of rural/mixed practice veterinary services or equivalent.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position advertised at Hew 6.

The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $77,400.25 - $83,267.08, plus super of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $ 90,558.29 - $ 97,422.48 p.a.)
