Rural Clinical School

Established in 2002, our Rural Clinical School works to foster and sustain a skilled and dynamic medical workforce to meet the needs of rural, regional and remote Queensland. UQRCS is the largest rural clinical school in Australia hosted by a single university.

We provide students with rigorous clinical training built upon hands-on experiences in hospitals and community-based practices. Above all, we give our students the unique opportunity to live and work in some of Queensland's amazing rural, regional and remote locations.

Our classrooms are the public and private hospitals, specialist consulting rooms, general practices and community healthcare settings throughout rural Queensland. Our teachers are dedicated and passionate rural clinicians. Our students have the opportunity to learn in a range of clinical contexts across the public, private and community sectors.

About This Opportunity

This opportunity is based out of UQ's Toowoomba Rural Clinical School and plays a key role in ensuring the optimal learning and teaching experience for medical students undertaking their Rural & Remote Medicine clinical placements. Under the direction and guidance of the Team Leader, the appointee will assist in the delivery of high-quality student and academic administrative support services, coordination of assessments, and support the overall scheduling of student placement preferences, allocations, timetables and accommodation.

Our Ideal Candidate

The successful appointee will be a customer focused team player with a degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience. In addition, the role requires someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level computer skills in a variety of packages and an ability to resolve issues through negotiation and consultation. An understanding of the issues surrounding living and working in a rural and/or regional area is a must.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position for 10 months at HEW level 5. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $67,608 - $75,506 plus super of up to 9.5%.
