This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week.

Come and be part of the most successful and largest Professional Practice in Architecture course in the UK.

Situated in the centre of London, the School of Architecture & Cities is one of the leading schools of architecture in the UK. It has an extensive reach into practice across all its programmes including: BA Interior Architecture, MA Interior Design; BA Architecture (RIBA Part 1), Master of Architecture (RIBA Part 2), PG Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture (RIBA Part 3); BA Designing Cities (RTPI); BSc Architectural Technology; BSc in Architecture & Environmental Design, MSc Architecture & Environmental Design; and MA Architecture, as well as through its postgraduate planning and transport, tourism and events courses.

Characterised by a focus on practice and teaching-led research and a commitment to embracing new technologies and innovation in design, the School sees the development of professional skills as key to sustainable practice.

The School is seeking a full-time Senior Lecturer to join the team on the PG Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture (RIBA Part 3). This appointment is a significant opportunity to contribute to changes in architectural education and its relation to architectural practice, and to develop the design and delivery of Professional Studies in Architecture across the School. Not only this, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and deliver specialist professional short courses, carry out research into practice and develop strong connections with architectural practices and the School's international networks.

Teaching experience in higher education and a PhD (or an equivalent level of knowledge) is desirable. Professional qualification, UK registration in Architecture, significant professional experience in contemporary architectural practice and a desire to develop the subject area to equip tomorrow's architects for the challenges of practice are essential.
