The Department of Politics is an excellent place to work; it provides a vibrant and varied intellectual environment, opportunities for mentorship and collaboration and unique support for policy and public engagement. We would like to hear from you if you are working on any aspect of international relations (including international studies; international relations theory; peace and conflict studies; environmental and climate change; security and human rights; global health; and any others.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Is educated to PhD level or has other equivalent qualifications/experience. You will have an excellent research trajectory, which will complement and enhance the strengths of the Department.
  • Has an outstanding record of publication reaching the highest international standards of quality as well as an excellent record of grant capture, knowledge exchange, engagement and research impact.
  • Has the ability to design and deliver high quality teaching and supervision to undergraduate and postgraduate students and is an inspiring and creative teacher.
  • Demonstrates qualities and skills suitable for senior leadership positions in the Department and Faculty, with a proven track record for leadership, mentoring and management.
