Job Details
One post-doctoral position with scholarship funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) is available at the Center for Chemistry and Environmental Technology of the Nuclear and Energy Research Institute, in São Paulo city, Brazil.
It is necessary that the candidate holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, Nuclear Technology or related areas, with a strong history of publications with significant number of citations and excellent performance on written and spoken English and knowledge in: gels and hydrogels preparation using different methods, including the use of radiation; methods for chemical and physical characterization of biomaterials, such as porosity assays, thermic analyses, FTIR, swelling assays, and mechanical properties assessment; methods for encapsulation and delivery of actives; application of gel biomaterials in in vitro and in vivo models; preparation of solutions; and good laboratory practices.
This opportunity is open to candidates of any nationalities. The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP's Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 7,373.10 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 15% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent in items directly related to the research activity.
