About This Opportunity

The Employability Support Officer will join the Student Employability Team within the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Information Technology (EAIT). The Student Employability Team is the Faculty's gateway for industry engagement with students. The team identifies and facilitates placement opportunities for all EAIT students and enhances the student experience and employability outcomes through the provision of a student employability program. This program fits within the broader University of Queensland's Student Employability Strategy and Employability Framework.

The Employability Support Officer will provide administrative and external engagement support to the Faculty's Student Employability Team. This includes all activities related to the development, implementation and coordination of employability activities for students from within the Faculty. You will also offer first line support and assistance to students that engage with the Faculty's Student Employability Team.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus , renowned as one of Australia's most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane's city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment - you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.

Our Ideal Candidate

Applicants should possess tertiary qualifications in a related area or have previous experience in an administrative capacity within the recruitment or human resources industry.

Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills are a must, as is the ability to organise and prioritise your own workload and manage competing requirements in a busy, fast-paced and energetic environment.

A key part of this role will be to administer multiple software and customer relationship management packages as well as the team's social media platforms, therefore a high level of computer proficiency is required.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, fixed term position until December 2020 at HEW level 5.

The full-time base salary will be in the range $67,608 - $75,506, plus super of up to 9.5% and recreation leave loading of 17.5%. (Total package will be in the range of $74,031 - $82,679 p.a.).
