Job Details

You will support staff and students on all day-to-day issues related to library services and will assist with the organisation of library and learning resources in the School. You will liaise with specialist staff in the University of Southampton Libraries at Winchester School of Art Library to implement best practice in the administration and provision of library and library-related services in the School of International Education in Dalian.

You must have good English communication skills and be fluent in Mandarin. In addition, you should be able to work with minimal supervision, organise workflow to agreed targets, take the initiative in problem solving, and determine priorities and meet deadlines. You will have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. A good level of computer literacy is essential, as is the ability to work with a high level of accuracy. The principal focus of the post will be support for teaching and learning.

Based in Dalian, China you will be employed by Southampton Education Consulting (Beijing) Ltd. on a contract with Chinese terms and conditions and receive a Chinese salary in RMB. Therefore, you must be able to provide satisfactory documentation that confirms your right to work legally in China.

Salary: 108,000 to 151,200 RMB per annum (plus 13th monthly payment), which equates to 9,000 to 12,600 RMB per month (13 monthly payments).

You will receive 20 days annual leave plus public holidays.
