This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Social work manager to work as a part of MASH service which has been commended by Ofsted for their ability to coordinate information between agencies and respond rapidly to high risk situations as they occur. As a result of some of the unique social issues in this Authority the MASH has to be able to operate swiftly with quick decisions having to be made and so far the team have been able to do this. The co-location of staff from various agencies has further improved working synergy between services, which has resulted in quicker response times.
The Local Authority had recently changed its Early Help strategy and these changes have been a result of this. However the MASH is still developing and the senior management team are keen to appoint an individual who is able to contribute to the development of the service. As such they are providing the post holder with a greater degree of autonomy to implement ideas they have demonstrated can improve performance.
To be considered for this post you should have experience of managing an Assessment or MASH service.
