Job Details
Bristol University Press (BUP) is looking for an experienced academic production person to provide maternity cover for our Content Creation Manager. You would be joining a small and dedicated team at an exciting stage in BUP's development and will be responsible for managing the pre-press processing of all our new titles (i.e. copy editing, typesetting, proofing and indexing, creating final files). You will be managing a team of two and be producing around 200 unique titles per annum.
We require someone for a minimum of 7 months, working for the equivalent of three days per week. There is the possibility for flexibility around the configuration of the days and hours worked, and potential for remote working up to one day per week.
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience of all the relevant prepress areas and will be especially focused on quality control and ensuring author satisfaction. They will be experienced in managing freelancers and external suppliers, and be able to establish strong working relationships with our editorial team.
The closing date for applications is 23:59 on Sunday 15th September 2019.
For informal enquiries please contact Andy Williams, Operations Director - andy.williams@bristol.ac.uk
