The University of Queensland's Faculty of Medicine is an internationally recognised provider of world-class education and research. The research-intensive Faculty has a gross budget of almost $300 million, employs approximately 1000 continuing and fixed-term staff (headcount), has a community of more than 4000 non-salaried academic appointees and around 3200 students (headcount).

The Faculty of Medicine offers Australia's largest medical degree program for graduates and school-leavers. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in the disciplines of Medicine, Health Sciences, E-Health, Mental Health, Biomedical Sciences and Public Health.

About This Opportunity

Opportunity for an experienced Research Partnerships Manager to support the University of Queensland's industry outreach and connectivity via contract management across all types of research contracts and agreements within the Faculty of Medicine. The key objective of the role is to establish and maintain effective and productive interactions with clinical and industry partners as they seek to engage with the University.

This position is located at our Herston Campus , UQ's core campus for clinical health teaching and research. Sharing premises with royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and the QIMR Berghofer Medical research Institute, the campus houses a vibrant clinical and research community that delivers innovative and contemporary research and education programs in a clinical academic environment. Conveniently located just minutes from Brisbane's city centre, there is access to multiple public transport connections, onsite parking and cycling facilities.

Our Ideal Candidate

The ideal person for this role will hold Postgraduate qualifications (or progressing towards postgraduate qualifications) and extensive contract management experience ideally within a University setting. In addition, you will have proven skills in research contract administration and management, knowledge of the higher education research funding environment and demonstrated understanding of intellectual property management and knowledge transfer. You will be an exceptional communicator, be able to work under pressure to deadlines and work effectively within a team.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 8. The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $96,466 - $108,318 plus super of up to 17% and recreation leave loading of 17.5%.
