Job Details
(Level B) $97,577 - $115,495) per annum plus an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation may apply
Fixed-term for 3 years with a possibility of extension subject to funding availability and performance
The Department of Media is seeking two Lecturers to undertake teaching and research in the field of media studies
The roles focus on the media production majors and emphasis on application of skills in the Bachelor of Media program.
Applicants will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current media industry practices and technologies and have the ability to supervise students in media and media industry research.
The successful applicants will reflect international standards of media research, including research funding and consultancy activities.

To be successful you will need:
- PhD in Media Studies, or a closely aligned discipline. Alternatively a higher degree and substantial media industry experience.
- Proven ability to teach and develop new applied curricula in one or more areas including CGI, Games, Digital Imaging Production, and Graphic Design. (In support of this, shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit a digital portfolio of work).
- Ability to supervise students in media and media industry research.
- Ability to teach in a range of media production focused areas, including knowledge of industry practice, and proficiency in software and hardware used in these fields.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating teaching and developing new curricular in a range of areas of media practice and media studies.
