Job Details
The Pacific Islands Families Study (Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences) seeks to appoint 1 x full-time Hearing Assessor (1.0 FTE) to support current and future research activities. The PIF Study focuses on high quality research that contributes to the reduction of health disparities, improves health, and generates and extends knowledge of Pacific health issues.
The appointee will work as a Hearing Assessor on a research project investigating hearing problems among Pacific adolescents. Tasks will include carrying out audiological assessments of Pacific youth, assisting with the set-up of the study, and collecting data according to a research protocol and ethical guidelines.
The appointee will have a postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in audiology, be a self-motivated, organised, a reliable team player, and will have significant experience in conducting hearing assessments as part of large-scale research projects or studies.
