The School of Communication Studies seeks applications for the following permanent, full-time lecturing position within its Digital Media / Digital Communication programmes, commencing on 20 January 2020:

LECTURER/SENIOR LECTURER IN DIGITAL MEDIA / DIGITAL COMMUNICATION (1.0 FTE Permanent)

Applicants will need proven professional expertise and teaching experience in digital media / digital communication production with specialist knowledge in the following areas:
  • Web and Online Communication Strategy, Design and Production
  • Web and Online Content Strategies and Production
  • Interactive Communication Strategy, Design and Production
  • User Interface Strategy, Design and Production
  • User Experience Strategy, Design and Production
  • Digital User Engagement Strategies
  • Web, Online and Interactive Media Production Techniques, Workflows and Best Practice
  • Digital Communication Theory and Practice

Applicants are expected to contribute to the teaching and research culture of the School, with a particular emphasis on preserving the vital link between professional practice and the best practice examples of digital media/digital communication education and research, nationally and internationally.

Individuals who can demonstrate, within their specialism, research potential, industry experience and an inspiring approach to teaching are particularly invited to apply.

The salary level offered an appointment at Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level will be commensurate with the skills and experience of the successful applicants.

Applicants are expected to hold a higher tertiary qualification or to undertake higher tertiary studies upon commencement of the employment. High quality creative digital work needs to be demonstrated via a professional work portfolio.
