Job Details

The School of Mathematics is responsible for an intake of around 260 undergraduate students per year (plus students who join us from other Schools). We will be moving to the new Fry Building for 2019/20 where the Student Administration team will continue to be based in an open plan office.

The role is part-time (27 hours per week) and term time only (34 weeks of the year - determined by the University calendar). We would prefer someone who could work 5 days a week to ensure cover.

The role will undertake a variety of activities, including attendance monitoring and assessment administration particularly focusing on Year 1 students. You will also be responsible for the Student Staff Liaison Committee and the administration of Unit Questionnaires. Duties may change as the needs of the School change.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a number of competencies including strong organisational skills, attention to detail, flexibility in approach to work and the ability to manage often conflicting deadlines. The ability to work under your own initiative and with a high degree of self-motivation, along with confidence in working with IT systems and software is also required

For informal enquires please contact Kirsten Slater, Student Administration Manager by emailing k.a.slater@bristol.ac.uk

We welcome applications from all members of our community and are particularly encouraging those from diverse groups, such as members of the LGBT+ and BAME communities, to join us.
